Message from Principal Paul-Zin

Dear Gateway Family,

As we begin Quarter 2, I would like to remind all students and families that attendance is essential to student success. Every day in school provides valuable opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. Consistent attendance helps students stay engaged in their classes, build positive relationships with their teachers and peers, and remain on track toward achieving their academic goals.

This quarter, we are excited to offer after-school Math Tutoring for Algebra and Geometry students. These tutoring sessions are designed to provide additional support, strengthen foundational skills, and help students build confidence as they prepare for classroom assessments and End-of-Course (EOC) exams. We encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity, whether they need extra help or simply want to improve their understanding of key concepts.

Just as important as academic success is the way we treat ourselves and others. At Gateway High School, we are committed to living The Gateway Way by demonstrating respect, responsibility, and kindness every day. We ask all students to take pride in their actions, make positive choices, respect themselves, respect others, and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for everyone on our campus.

When students attend school regularly, work hard academically, and embrace The Gateway Way, they position themselves for success both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Career & Technical Education (CTE)

    Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Gateway High School provides students with hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for both college and the workforce. Through specialized pathways such as health sciences, engineering, business, and digital media, students gain real-world skills, industry certifications, and internship opportunities. Gateway’s CTE programs emphasize career readiness and innovation, helping students explore their interests while building a strong foundation for future success.

  • Dual Enrollment

    Students at Gateway High School have the opportunity to earn college credit through our dual enrollment program. Student can take classes through our partnership with Valencia College while still being enrolled at Gateway High.

  • Marine Corps JROTC

    Students have the chance to join the ranks of our student cadets and work with our award-winning Marine Corps JROTC program.

They actually care about how we’re feeling. When we’re down they’re at our sides asking if we’re ok. This is the first school we’re I walk in and receive a good morning and a hello from staff members and not just students. Gateway counselors have not only strived to make sure my schedule helps me and guarantees a good present and future. The environment with my peers is almost always positive. Gateway in general has been a no judgement zone, and everyone tends to just mesh well with each other.  - Logan F. Class of 2028

From things such as honors, AP and IB classes, students are supported by teachers to do their best. They are also very willing to help every student in every way that they can.
