Principal’s Message
Hello, Panther Families
I can't believe that we are only a few days away from Spring Break. Second semester always seems to go very fast as we focus on state testing and graduation.
We have a variety of events planned for our seniors, and I wanted to give you some brief updates to plan for the coming weeks.
PROM 2026
This year's Prom theme is "A Night Under the Stars." Tickets are currently on sale through myschoolbucks.com. This exciting senior event wll be from 7-11 p.m., Saturday, April 4, at Disney's Boardwalk Resort. Tcikets are $115 and include dinner. The last day to buy tickets is Friday, March 27. If students want to bring a guest who does not attend Gateway, they must get a permission slip, complete all the information, and turn it into the Dean's Office.
GRAD NIGHT 2026
Our annual Grad Night events is Friday, May 1, at Busch Gardens. We tried to return to Universal, but they are dramatically cutting the number of days for this event. It's disappointing, because so many seniors look forward to this event. Even though we signed up last year, we were placed on a waiting list and, unfortunately, we did not get selected. However, we have been to Busch Gardens in the past, and they are excited to have us return. Tickets are $145 and include a meal.
YEARBOOKS
Yearbooks are currently available for preorder through myschoolbucks.com. They are $75 until May 1. After that date, the price increases to $90.
DECISION DAY
Our annual Decision Day signing event is Wednesday, April 22. We are going to celebrate all of our graduating seniors and their future plans in the Performing Arts Center.
CAPS & GOWNS
Graduation is Thursday, May 21, at 5:30 p.m. We are already receiving pre-ordered Caps and Gowns. Stay tuned for a date after Spring Break when we will distribute them to our seniors. If you haven't yet ordered a Cap and Gown, you can do so by going to hjproud.com. We always order a few extra, but the only way to guarantee you get the correct size is to order in advance. Cost is $105.
SENIOR AWARD NIGHT
Senior Award Night is Thursday, May 7. Invitations will go out the beginning of April.
LAST DAY FOR SENIORS
The last day for Seniors is Wednesday, May 13. The last day for IB Seniors is Friday, April 24. Our Senior Walkout celebration is also on May 13 at the end of the school day.
GIRLS BASKETBALL FINAL FOUR
Our girls basketball team is headed to the Final Four next week in Jacksonville. The Lady Panthers take on Booker T. Washington High School from Pensacola. Tip off is at 3 p.m. next Wednesday at the University of North Florida.
