Message from Principal Paul-Zin

Dear Gateway High School Families,

Welcome to Gateway High School! It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the Principal of this incredible school. Having previously served as Assistant Principal at Gateway, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving a community that I have grown to know, respect, and love.

Gateway High School has always been a place where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional staff, dedicated students, supportive families, and community partners who all share the same goal,  providing every student with the best possible educational experience.

Together, we have celebrated remarkable accomplishments. Gateway now has the highest graduation rate among Osceola County's traditional high schools, the highest acceleration rate in the district at 86%, and during the 25 – 26 school year earned an "A" school grade for the first time in more than a decade. These achievements are a testament to the hard work of our teachers, staff, students, and families, and they demonstrate what can be accomplished when a community works together with a shared vision.

As I begin this new chapter as Principal, I would also like to recognize and thank Mr. Long for his years of dedicated leadership and service to Gateway High School. His commitment to our students and school community helped lay the foundation for the success we celebrate today, and I am honored to continue building upon that legacy.

While we are proud of our accomplishments, our work is far from finished. My commitment is to ensure that every student who walks through our doors feels valued, challenged, and supported. We will continue to provide rigorous academic opportunities, expand college and career pathways, foster meaningful relationships, and create a safe and welcoming environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Parents and families are essential partners in the success of our students. I encourage you to stay involved, communicate with our staff, attend school events, and celebrate the many accomplishments of our students. Together, we can continue to make Gateway High School a place where excellence is expected and every student has the opportunity to thrive.

  • International Baccalaureate Programme

    The International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme is a globally recognized educational framework that focuses on developing knowledgeable, curious, and compassionate learners. It emphasizes critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and real-world connections across all subject areas. The program prepares students to succeed in college and beyond by fostering academic excellence, cultural understanding, and personal responsibility.

  • Career & Technical Education (CTE)

    Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Gateway High School provides students with hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for both college and the workforce. Through specialized pathways such as health sciences, engineering, business, and digital media, students gain real-world skills, industry certifications, and internship opportunities. Gateway’s CTE programs emphasize career readiness and innovation, helping students explore their interests while building a strong foundation for future success.

  • Dual Enrollment

    Students at Gateway High School have the opportunity to earn college credit through our dual enrollment program. Student can take classes through our partnership with Valencia College while still being enrolled at Gateway High.

  • Marine Corps JROTC

    Students have the chance to join the ranks of our student cadets and work with our award-winning Marine Corps JROTC program.

Gateway High School is genuinely one of the best schools in Osceola. Our teachers actually teach to ensure that we pass and put an effort in making class fun. They actually care about how we’re feeling. When we’re down they’re at our sides asking if we’re ok. This is the first school we’re I walk in and receive a good morning and a hello from staff members and not just students. Gateway counselors have not only strived to make sure my schedule helps me and guarantees a good present and future. The environment with my peers is almost always positive. Gateway in general has been a no judgement zone, and everyone tends to just mesh well with each other.  - Logan F. Class of 2028

From things such as honors, AP and IB classes, students are supported by teachers to do their best. They are also very willing to help every student in every way that they can.
